Professional Development

DAFP hosts dinner meetings usually held the third Thursday of February - May and August - November.  We also have an annual joint luncheon with the Fort Worth AFP chapter in the Spring plus a full day education conference in the Fall known as the "Big D Treasury Conference".  All meetings provide continuing education credits for CTP's and CPA's.

In Memoriam

On October 5th, the Alabama AFP, Banking and Treasury Management communities in Alabama lost a great friend and colleague. After a two year long battle with a rare form of cancer and surrounded by his family, Sam Prudhomme passed away. Sam was 44 years old.

Sam worked at both Regions and First Commercial Bank in Birmingham in a variety of Commercial Banking and Treasury Management roles. He also took time to serve on the Board of Alabama Association for Financial Professionals and its predecessor, the Alabama Treasury Management Association.

Sam is survived by his wife Donna and their three elementary school age children, Griffin (9), Maddie (9), and Alex (7). A Go Fund Me account has been established for the educational benefit of Sam's children. If you wish to make a donation, please use the link below:
